Residential Design
Hydrolite employs fully qualified and professional landscape designers, experienced in designing projects ranging from all types of reidential gardens to large and highly visible public areas, such as garden exhibitions, sports facilities, schools and hotel landscapes.
At Hydrolite we pride ourselves on being creative, yet practical, professionals who strive to think beyond garden stereotypes and standard solutions. All Hydrolite designers are qualified in horticultural science and have strong artistic capabilities which are utilised in all facets of garden design.
HLS gardens are individually designed to meet the clients life style requirements and tastes. The design process is structured to enable our designer to work closely with the client, allowing your garden to be designed to suit your individual requirements and preferences.
The following are the steps to having your own HLS designed garden:
Step 1 - Initial Consultation - Design Brief
Our designer will meet with you on site to get a feeling for your needs and particular likes and dislikes. Specific requirements and basic layouts such as placement of the swimming pool, definition of formal and informal areas, considerations for children or pets etc. will be discussed and a concept theme and approach to the design will be agreed.
Step 2 - Design Fee Proposal
Your designer will prepare a design fee proposal for the design of your garden based on discussions during the initial consultation. This is the cost of design and preparation of detailed drawings of all elements of the planned garden. This will be forwarded for your approval.
Step 3 - Existing Site Layout
A site measure up will be required, where accurate measurements of your property will be taken. If you have soft copy plans of your site layout then a full measure up may not be required. For a larger property we may recommend for a site survey to be carried out
Step 4 - Design & Draft
Once your designer has all the necessary information they will begin the design and drafting of your garden. All aspects of the design and construction of your garden will be considered and included in the final presentation.
Step 5 - Presentation
Our designer will arrange a suitable time to meet with you to present your landscape plan.

Step 6 - Construction
Once your landscape plan is accepted Hydrolite will provide a quote for the construction of your garden.
